Prato museums
Cathedral museum of Prato

Created to house a series of works connected to the Cathedral and the cult of the Sacred Belt, the Museum was opened in 1967 with two rooms between the square and the Romanesque cloister, and was later on extended to gather works from diocesan churches and the prestigious reliefs of the Pulpit by Donatello (removed from the outside in 1969 due to their state of preservation).
The fascinating museum path is divided into some rooms of the ancient Palace of Parish Priests around the Romanesque cloister, and terminates in the "Vaults" beneath the Cathedral.
